Billups Return to Pistons



Chauncey Billups desire to spend a career in the Detroit Pistons will likely become a reality. The Pistons said it had agreed to sign the veteran playmaker for two years. This was confirmed by the President of Basketball Operations Pistons, Joe Dumars. Former NBA player said it has agreed to provide a two-year contract to Billups and get paid for USD2.5 million.

Billups has now been returned to the Pistons. 36-year-old basketball player back will help the team that has three times won the NBA's (1989, 1990, 2004). He will be a mentor two young playmaker, Brandon Knight and debutant Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Since deciding to transfer Nuggers Billups to Denver in 2008, this team has a win-loss record of 148-244. During his career, Billups has recorded an average of 15.4 points and 5.5 assists. Presentation of a three figure also good (42 percent).

Pistons team is looking to build again. Previously, Dumars was also rumored to have agreed to bring in Josh Smith. Former Atlanta Hawks star was getting a four-year contract for a fee of USD56 million.
