Murray Got Confused When Not Finding His name at Wimbledon Trophy

Interesting facts after Andy Murray winning Wimbledon. He apparently got confused because he did not find his named on the championship trophy. Murray won the second Grand Slam title of his career after beating Novak Djokovic in the Wimbledon final last Sunday. After 77 years, only this time there was another Briton to win Wimbledon.

Then of course Murray could ensure very happy after his won the title. But then he was stunned and surprised because there is no name in the cup he was holding.

"When I saw the Wimbledon trophy, and my name is not there, there was a moment I thought, 'What the hell is this?'" Murray wrote in his column on the BBC.

"It could hold unique historic trophy on Centre Court is an incredible feeling, but when I saw the names of previous winners, I can not find my name," Gomez said.

Murray apparently did not know that a few years ago the All England Club realized they were running out of space to engrave the names of the winners in the Wimbledon trophy. Since 2009, as mentioned in The Sun, the recognition of Wimbledon winners' names can be found on the special black base with silver ribbon. However, the right replica trophy kept by each winner actually include the entire name of winning the Wimbledon title.

"Apparently they are already running out of places and my name is on the bottom, so I do not really see my name when I was handed the trophy, but when I got home I could confirm that my name is there!" Further Murray in his column.
